#23.04.09`` - Being Asian - the consequences.
Thursday, April 23, 2009 @ 10:32:00 am
Woah, I haven't blogged in ages - last time I blogged it was about a week ago, and a bit. My holidays have been really boring. One thing, I have to look after my brother more than I would like to. Well, I haven't been out since last week, the last time I posted something. Yes ;; I do know its bad for me. So far, whenever I'm at home, I've been the lazy person I am and just sit in front of the laptop all day, sleep, occasionally I do go out for a walk.
I actually went out for a walk on Saturday and ventured the national park just behind my house. I haven't been there in ages. The smell of fresh air is wonderful. It's better than places with more polluted air. I also found this really pretty flower. It was reddish, and quite small. Then it fanned out into a really pretty red flower. I walked all the way to a secluded beach where there were a few people out in their boats and a few were swimming. After a while, I left the beach and walked a bit more and somehow ended up at the Davidson National Park BBQ area. Anyway, after that I walked back home the Warringah Road way.
Anyway, this holidays have been boring aside from a couple of things. Except, lately, I've been watching this drama called E.U. or Emergency Unit. I think I've talked about it before. At the moment, I'm up to Episode 21, nearly the end of the series. E.U. is a 30-episode-long TVB drama. It is more of a crime/action drama, preceded by The Academy, and On the First Beat. I would try explaining the plot to you, but it is very complicated, and I fail at explaining things anyway. It's a extremely good drama, and I totally recommend it - but it's canto. So...
I'll probably finish this drama before the end of the holidays, then my holidays will become extremely boring - again. I really have nothing else to say. If anyone has any recommendations, please tell me. :) I would appreciate it very much. Thanks.
Well, I've been trying to find a new layout that I like.. with no success. I'll find one sooner or later. Until then... what I was originally going to say.
Being Asian and the consequences. Some Asians - like mine - are always complaining how they have no time to spend with their children. In my case, they have heaps, like hours of it, but all that time, is spent on my education. I don't mind if you spend a couple of hours of it with me, but seriously, and you always complain how you don't have time to spend with me. Meaning, I have to do homework everyday, even in the holidays, even overseas. Yeah, it's annoying. Arguing about it is stupid.
I say, it's the holidays, should be when I have a break, have no work. But no, holidays it when I don't have any schoolwork to do, therefore my parents are obliged to go and find me some work, that will improve my education.
Just when you think you have some free time, no.
________
Recently, I watched communitychannel's latest video on the stuff in America - about the red cup things. Well anyway, I was watching another video. Extremely stupid. Links.
communitychannel - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3bXh-EY_V0
Anyway, scroll to 0:14 seconds if you don't particularly want to watch the video, there she says something about red American cups they drink in movies. The other video, I'm assuming is supposed to be something stupid someone put up to get comments and to draw attention to themselves. So, theres this guy, watching communitychannel's video and then he's drinking out to the red cup, and
BADA BING BADA BOOM there's communitychannel talking about the red cups and there he is choking on his water, out of the little red cup, that is apparently supposed to be cool. Well I was gonna link you to the other video but couldn't find the link. Yeah.
_______
I also went on to review a couple more Youtube videos, and came across a rather old one. "The Australians are fooling us." Yeah, I suggest you watch the video, it's actually really funny how he mocks us Aussies, but fails at the same time.
The Australians are fooling us - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdDzITytrjc
There we go, he fails at mocking us. His first point -Vegemite. You see at first, he pronounces it correctly, but then, he goes on and tries the
Aussie accent. Fail. He sounds British for all I know - and therefore pronounces Vegemite,
vee-ji-mite. Then saying its a
scary black substance consisting of yeast and some other shxt. Yeah, it may scare you, but it's actually brown. Anyway, then he talks about how obsessed with Vegemite we are, and goes as far as saying that our national anthem is based around Vegemite, which is truly ridiculous.
His second point - Boomerangs. Apparently we use them to kill kangaroos. &&then goes on saying how he has never thrown a boomerang - like we care, and aso says that he has never
not been hit in the head with a boomerang - is he implying that he is literally consistently being hit with a boomerang.
Also, spelling roos, r-o-o-z. Yeah, what the fck, that's just some random American grammar thing you guys made up. I don't know. His third point, kangaroos. Something about them being cute and having a pouch. They're called marsupials, dumbshxt. Also, something about kicking him in the balls.
Well, I can't be bothered to rant anymore about this, just watch the video yourself.
Also, what the fck is this. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YB5sz576cnM
Yeah.
