TANKEN CENTRE (slightly late)My guilty late blog.
So, I got up at 6:50AM, and started to get ready for the highly anticipated excursion. After getting ready, I started eating my breakfast consisting of plain milk. I was too lazy to make myself anything else since my parents were too lazy to get up earlier than me. After that, I waited for Wendy to come pick me up from my house. By this time, it was around 7:20AM and that was when Wendy was planning on picking me up, but since she wasn’t there, I watched little kiddie shows. It is slightly disturbing, how on little kiddie shows they show girls with fat asses and totally disproportional bodies and etching the image into little kiddie’s minds. Oh well, at least they aren’t fixing the anorexia problem into their minds.
Anyway, at 7:30AM, Wendy finally arrived. Not to my surprise, Cindy was also there and Wendy’s dad drove us up to the school. We arrived at around 7:50AM, nevertheless, still on time. We took a few group photos before we left.
First one, consisting of me shouting out "MotherFather” which if you went to our school, you would know what I meant. In both of the photos, to my understanding, Erine was shivering from head to toe. It was colder than I expected.

Afterwards, we all trekked on to the bus and grabbed the
backseat. Annoyingly enough, Erine and Erica gave in to the 3 fxcking Year 11’s . They were fxcking annoying. Once the ride started, they began trying to kick us off the seat. Sadly they failed. So this is what happened.
During the first part of the trip, they tried to scare us off.
We’re going to talk to you about dating and all that other random shxt you’re going to learn later on in your life.
They tried to ask us about our dating lives but failed miserably, and instead got owned by asian insults. When trying to tease us back, all we heard was
HAN BAO BAO HAN BAO BAO HAN BAO BAO
Due to their accent, I wasn’t quite sure what they said so I asked Gavin and he said that it meant hamburger. Lol fail. Eventually, we started playing cards and they tried to work out what we were playing, but again, failed. Big 2 FTW.
When Cindy went off to get some food, her seat got taken by a certain Year 11. By that time, Jenny and I had swapped seats so I was supposedly behind Cindy and closer to the Year 11’s. I was getting pissed off because they
1. kicked Erine and Erica off their seats
2. annoyed us the whole fxcking bus trip
3. just generally being annoying
Because of this, I cried. Not really cried. But you know fake cry. Apparently, to guys, it’s a sin to make a girl cry. So, after noticing that I was “crying” they moved back to their original seats and Jenny and I placed all our shxt on the seat so that we took up more than half the back seat. The three Year 11’s were squished up on one side and Jenny and I were relaxing on the other. The bus ride remained that way until we got to Kirrawee High School and arrived at the Tanken Centre.
The Tanken Centre looked traditional on both the outside and the inside. After taking a few photos, we entered the centre and automatically entered what Japanese call it, a genkan. It is equivalent to that of an entrance hall except there are many procedures to be taken. We spent 20 minutes trying to go into the Japanese house properly and then we finally entered the Tatami room. JENNNNNYYYYY;;

The Tatami room was were most of our activities were held. We were sorted into 4 teams. The names of our teams were the names of the four seasons in Japanese.
Winter – fuyu ,
Spring – haru,
Summer – natsu,
Autumn – aki ; Aki was the one Jenny, Erica and I got put into. The others were distributed amongst the other teams.
When we were in the
Tatami room, we played a lot of games, further expanding our knowledge of the Japanese culture and background. Well anyway, I can't be bothered blogging anymore, so what basically happened, was we took part in some activities, ate, did some more activities and made bookmark stuffs and we did this cool
calligraphy stuff with like cool paper that made your words disappear, literally. Most of the time.
chia. :)
