Too cool for school?
Tuesday, October 05, 2010 @ 10:02:00 pm
I hear a lot of people around me saying that school is all bullshit. If not, school up to and including Year 10 is bullshit. Apparently, this way of thinking is
cool. No, it's not. Seriously, that leb guy's talk really got to me. ›› Do you want to achieve over 90 in the School Certificate?
›› If yes, are you studying like you want to get over 90 in the School Certificate?
Honestly, since day 1 in high school, our educators have been trying to make sure that we are prepared for the School Certificate and Higher School Certificate. In return, our attitudes are such as "Psh, school. It doesn't actually matter until Year 11 and 12." And those that say "As long as it doesn't show up on my report so my parents find out, it's okay." So, what about that massive report at the end of your high school years that reflects your learning for the past 6 years? You can hide mid-year reports from your parents, but there's no way you can hide your HSC result from your parents.
To be completely contradictory, I used to think like this too. Why? I thought it was "cool" that I didn't care about school. But deep inside, I tried to get good marks. Why again? I want a good future. Not one that's screwed up because I thought it was cool to do drugs in my mid-teenage years. Recently, I found myself a career path. One that I'm sure of and that will lead to a good future, if successful. To make it successful I have to do well in school, and by that, I have to try.
Does that sound childish and uncool? The fact that we go to school, not because that's where our friends are, but because we want to learn. I'm sure I could ask anyone in the world whether they wanted a good future or not and they would reply with Yes, I do want a good future. There are some in this world who aren't as privileged as you are and can't even afford education.
If school didn't matter, don't come. And don't go saying that your parents this your parents that... If you genuinely don't like school, don't want a future, run away. I'm going to tell you this plainly. You go to school to learn. It all adds up to your final mark that the rest of your future relies upon. For those that go to school and think that really think that school is bullshit and doesn't matter at all, think about why you come at all.

you're beautiful
Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 7:34:00 pm

Everyone has their own beauty. Legend? No, it's true.
Many people don't believe in their own beauty. And you know what, that's ridiculous. I know many people that are overly self-conscious about their appearance. But you know what, do something for me:
›› Define beauty.
My guess is, the first few things you thought of were the physical forms of beauty. Ever heard of inner beauty? I feel absolutely sure that I can bet you all of my possessions that somewhere inside you, you are beautiful.
What defines you is your own individual beauty. It may be your bubbly personality, your intelligence or your sardonic attitudes that attracts the people around you. For me, I can be pretty bitchy, can get highly annoying and loud, but I'm fairly happy all the time. This is because I know that there is someone there for me and don't mind my flaws, but rather accepts them.
And honestly, if you're still worried about your face or your figure, trust me on this you're beautiful. You may cover those pores and pimples or your flawless skin but people will be able to see that outrageously stunning self inside of you.
Those that think that they have no beauty, your self-esteem is obviously pretty low. Look at yourself in the mirror, don't go saying 'Eww, it's a pimple on my nose'. How about you be a bit more optimistic and say 'Wow, my hair is nice today'. Don't go saying there is nothing there to compliment either.
Face it, you're beautiful. 88.
Btw, shall I bother drawing your attention to the new layout, or have you noticed already. Archives are on the bottom.

path to the unknown . the future . the reality ...
Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 8:03:00 pm

If you think about it, every second of our time we're spending, is another step towards our future. Just sitting here, sipping at my lemon tea and with a twisted ankle, just thinking about the most useless things: that really doesn't look like a face, domino's oven baked sandwiches... what is it doing? Reality is.. nothing.
I'm in Year 10, and I have a rough idea of where my future is going to take me. Whether this is a success or not, I don't know . Hopefully, like many other people, I'd prefer if it went the way I wanted to. So, the reality. In 1 year, I'll be doing preliminaries, a year and a half after that, I'll be doing my HSC. After that, I won't have anymore guidance from teachers. Should be fun right? But underneath all that celebrating of having freedom, you realise that it is at this time, that you start making choices, by yourself, and it will affect not only you, but your family and friends.
And what about after uni? From there, find your own job. Something that you'll enjoy and have to endure for a while. Right now, I can't even predict what the future is going to be like. When I was younger, I didn't really have any close friends, friends I could tell every single, even if it hurt them. But now, I think I've really changed. The people around me may hate me, love me, don't know me, but they've made me who I am. As for the future, I don't want to lose them. In fact, I have a fear: fear of losing people.

16.06.09 - Reports DX
Tuesday, June 16, 2009 @ 8:44:00 pm
Tuesday 16 June 2009 - cold, very different from yesterday, REPORT DAY (N)
So today was a pretty normal day, I would've thought until I got home. Yes, the part with the Gavin and his butterfly wings are normal. { report to Jenny's blog to see our masterpiece ;] }
So anyway, in the morning, I woke up late, yet again. Still, I got to the bus stop in time to catch the 768 which was extremely cramped. No idea why. So I got to school and entered the library, to find a group of people talking. How interesting. And that was the end, of the adventures in the library. I went to PC and got some sushi off Derek. Thanks for being my food supplier past few
weeks. ;]
01 - Geography
In Geography, we marked some of our work on Darwin. We also received a hand-out to help us on an upcoming TEST. Oh god, I'm going to fail. Due to tradition, I'll be sitting next to Moni. :) Been sitting next to Moni for every Geography test since Year 8. Lol, that's only last year. But it was like, the Geography Competition `08, Place Geography Test `08, Geography Skills Test `08, Geography Competition `09, and I'm going to sit next to her in Geography Skills Test `09. But I'll still
FAIL.
02 - English
During this period, we watched one of the many versions of Romeo + Juliet. Why is everyone so fugly. The costuming for Juliet makes her cleavage line a massive long line. && yeah, I know, you didn't need to know that. I know.
03 - Science
We watched a video tape on Big Bang again. I don't know, maybe it's me, but lately, with Mercer, It's always been movie, answer questions, movie, answer questions. Strange. But anyway, we always find something to laugh about in Science at our table.
OH, I FORGOT TO MENTION, THAT YESTERDAY SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENED.
mentee; [ says something that annoys liz ]
liz; diu lei lo mo
mentee; what does that mean?
chia; it means
what a pretty flowerYEAH, I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT AND IN SCIENCE WENDY AND GAVIN STARTED CRACKING UP.
04 - Graphics
LOL, this period was hilarious. 10 minutes into the lesson, Jackie asked to go to the bathroom. I ran after her to bludge the lesson and we took ages to go to the bathroom and back. When we got to the TAS block corridor, Jackie obviously found the chance to what she calls
"glide" across the floor. In the end, she scrapes her knee. Like this;
jackie + chia; *laugh at Jackie as we walk into classroom
jackie; *examines her injury
mr. riley; oh, what happened to your knee
chia; yeah, she tripped we're going to sick bay
jackie; yeah...
chia; *gets jackie and makes a run for the door
then we walk to the sick bay and get a band aid then come back. We tried to put the band aid on through her stockings and it half worked. When we got back to the classroom, there was 10 minutes of the lesson left, which we bludged,
obviously.05 - Maths
I forgot to bring my book today so I borrowed a piece of paper. Nothing much happened in maths today.
NOW, MY REPORT.
I see a envelope sticking out of my mailbox and I look at it. Bankwest. Thank god. Wait no I see another one. Bankwest. Oh thank god. OH CRAP I SEE ANOTHER ONE. Northern Beaches Secondary College Manly Selective Campus. Addressed to my parents and me. I get home and rush upstairs and look at my report.
UNEXPLAINED ABSENCES: 1 , the time i bludged swimming carnival
LEVEL OF ACHIEVEMENTS: 34 consistently, 6 often
ENGLISH: Donna COLBY
What she says is all true. I guess she hates me now that I've actually fallen asleep in her class. But she kind of hated me before because I was procrastinating in her class.
OVERALL ACHIEVEMENT: n/a { e.g. no need for you to know.
MATHS: Kay PORTER
This one is my good one.
"Cynthia should challenge herself further by attempting the more difficult questions in each exercise" Pssh, yeah, like I'm going to do that. I got a high in my congrency and similarity crap though. I hate that stuff. It annoys me and takes up too much room.
OVERALL ACHIEVEMENT: outstanding XD
SCIENCE: Nigel HAWKINS
This one is hilarious.
"Cynthia is a keen student who applies herself well during class time to complete set tasks to a pleasing standard." Yeah right I do that, my books full of scribbles and random crap. It even
had a Chia army in it. BLUE VS. PINK.
OVERALL ACHIEVEMENT: outstanding { and this is why i laughed }
COMMERCE: Frances SEYMOUR
Okay, no offense, isn't Frances a guy's name? Meaning, she's a guy? Well anyway. I am really lmao-ing at this one.
"Cynthia is very well organised, follows instructions correctly and works hard to complete all set tasks." Haha, and does that explains why I'm always so behind in class does it? Also in the beginning of my thingo it says
"Cynthia is a diligent and consicientous student who works well in class."OVERALL ACHIEVEMENT: outstanding LOL
GEOGRAPHY: Frances SEYMOUR
In the beginning of my report it also says
"Cynthia is a diligent and consicientous student who works well in class." Notice something? Yep, it's the same as my commerce one. Which further proves, they already have something written out and they have spaces where they put the names, that's all. and lol, it also says this part:
"Cynthia is very well organised, follows instructions correctly and works hard to complete all set tasks."OVERALL ACHIEVEMENT: outstanding XD
GRAPHICS TECHNOLOGY: Paul RILEY
Well, not much to rant about here. He's right. I don't do much work in class. He just listed the stuff we did in class, not much of a report there, eh?
OVERALL ACHIEVEMENT: high :)
JAPANESE: Katherine WYNDHAM
This is my best report. It's all outstandings. I have nothing to complain about, except for the fact that it is so ironic. Of course I
"produce work of superior quality." What are you talking about? LOL. But the last part is definately true.
"In addition, more focused and active participation in class practice and activities will help her extend her skills still further. AHA, I just noticed, she made a typo. She wrote
focussed instead of
focuses. Or maybe I'm wrong.
OVERALL ACHIVEMENT: outstanding XD
PHYSICAL EDUCATION: Sonya BLASINI
Oh who cares about PE. Of course I've
"demonstrated good theoretical understanding and practical ability this semester." Not much to talk about really her. Her report is like a 2 and a bit line bit of wiritng.
OVERALL ACHIEVEMENT: n/a
That's the end, of my little journey called school reports. Whoa I'm just so lame. Dayum, I'm 1 away from a Principal's Award. Now my mum has something else to yell about. Sigh.
AND there is a new nat video. { community channel } && yet again, Gavin beat me into watching it. It's called "How to fight (and lose efficiently)". It's really random, like all her vids. But it's hilarious all the same. Here's the link for you guys.

15.06.09 - Project Penguin
@ 8:01:00 pm
Monday 15 June 2009 - cold in morning, warm throughout the rest of the day
Today was the day that I was required to meet annoying little kids about the age of 9 and 10. It was also the day, my mum was going on a 1 day trip to Melbourne. I knew, from the very first moment I saw them, it was going to be hell.
It's amazing how stuck up little kids can be. They can be so annoying for some one their size, and you find yourself asking
How do they fit all this annoyingness into themselves? I swear, Liz and I have the worst group.
So in the morning, my dad woke me up at 6:00AM so that I wouldn't sleep in. This was the time he was leaving to take my mum to the airport. I lay on my bed, thinking to myself
I'll get up in 5 minutes. Funnily enough, in 3 minutes, I was asleep again. When my dad got home from the airport, it wazs already 7:40AM. 10 minutes after I was supposed to get out of the house in order to make the buses. Once again, my dad dragged me out of bed. I had to beg for a lift again and this time, he took me all the way to Forestway. Even so, I was still late to the bus stop. I arrived at the bus stop at around 8:10AM and the bus should have come by now, but it hadn't so I was lucky. I got to school at 8:40AM. I was supposed to meet at the library steps at 8:30AM, but I was late.
After a while, we started walking to North Curl Curl Primary School. I walked alongside Lizzy and we made up a little random thing, that I can't find words to explain.
When we got there, I realised how short a while it had been since I moved from primary school to high school. But then I realised how boring it must have been. I mean, who runs around like they can fly anymore. Who pretends they're superman. Okay, that's ironic. Haha, I can so talk can't I, eh? I noticed how many people rode bicycles to school. It was such a scene seeing so many bicycles riding through the school gate. We didn't see many asian kids though, which was a
shame. T_T What is this empty asian population in that school. *sigh, guess we can't help that...
Anyway, after that, all the Project Penguin participants gathered in this miniscule building. I guess it wasn't that small, about the size of a classroom. There, we were supposed to meet the little kids of our groups. First the teacher told us about the project all over again. Then she called out the groups one by one. The first group was actually ours. This is how the conversation went, sort of;
teacher; [the names of the people in our group go here] please stand up and mentors who have this group
chia; *looks at the group and continues to sleep
liz; *looks for 5 seconds, *looks at chia , *to chia says: Holy shit, that's our group
chia; it is? *looks up , HOLY CRAP IT IS
liz + chia; stand up guiltily and walk to the side of the room
Yeah, that's how responsible we are. After that, as the mentees went to their classroom to collect their booklets, Liz and I grabbed ours and furiously flicked through the b=pages to look for their names. Originally, we thought one of their names were Anastasia and Hannah. Turns out that none of their names had anything related to Anastasia or Hannah.
Quick review of kids;
Kyle; annoying as usual and doesn't do his work. He barely contributes and when he does it's mostly unrelated. He has this smile that annoys the hell out of me and just annoys the rest of the group. When they asked each other if they could kick on of the members out of the group, the all said Kyle.
Nadia; she's actually kind of stuck up. She did this random
reoww thing at this other group and kept giggling to herself. She tries to take control of the group and thinks she's the bus. But out of everyone, she probably does the most work.
Olivia; she's quite well behaved, but sometimes she gets out of hand. She contributes quite a bit and sometimes she pisses me off, but not as much as everyone else does.
Natasha; she's probably the most well behaved. I asked what they had at the canteen and she was the first to reply. She even offered to get it for me, but I gave her the money. She's probably the most mature out of them all, which isn't very mature.
Barr; he is definately the most quiet, but that also means that he doesn't contribute a lot which is a bit of a downside and complained how the mentors weren't helping. That's quite true actually.
We chose to sit at one of the tables and discussed what we were doing for the project. Half the time, we started talking about food. There isn't really much to discuss here. After recess, we went to a mini meeting in the random classroom sized room again and discussed the marking guidelines. Once again, we then went back to deciding on information to put on our project. Halfway through, their teacher came and found that some of the mentees weren't working so well so she made us go into the classroom after lunch so that she could keep an eye on them.
After lunch, we had another meeting, in the library . Their library is so small and packed. It was hard to fit everyone in to the room. I kept on poking holes in my paper because I couldn't be bothered to do anything else. After that, we assigned for people to do different things for the next time we came and worked with them.
When we walked back to school, Liz found a reason to annoy Will. It looked like fun, so I joined in. We spent the rest of the school day annoying Will. At the bus bay, we got his pencil case and 2 of his USBs and managed to keep them from him for a while. I kept the 2 USBs in my bus pass holder thing until my bus came then I gave one back and the other to Liz. I do not know the end outcome but I'm sure it should have been funny.
On the bus, we played cards. What'd you expect. When I got home, I went to do some paper runs, and overall, the rest of my day wasn't all that interesting. So yeah.
:)
P.S. There is going to be an extra post today because I realised that I'm blogging a day later than I'm supposed to be, for example this blog, which was yesterday. Laters.

Sigh. How boring school can get. This is me getting sidetracked from Commerce. You see ;; Every day of our lives we enter into countless consumer contracts without ever giving them a single thought. Whether we are making simple purchases, such as picking up our weekly groceries, or buying expensive items such as houses and cars, we rely on consumer laws to protect us. ;; Yeah, dadada..You know what? I don't fcking care. This is boring. I get sidetracked too easily ;; to think that I'm blogging to rid myself of boredom, I blog. But then again, I'm blogging about more commerce. Not much difference there except I can swear and get off topic. Oh Go away Commerce, I don't care about you so..meh.Ah, well, something better to talk about. Oh lol, well today, I brought my shxt for Week A goddammit. Oh well, I just brought an extra English book and no Maths book. How annoying. But oh well. That wasn't too interesting. But, something other than commerce. OMG. Lol, commerce is kind of funnny though. Because I always happen to sit next to Jackie, so its always poking game. Lol. I want Rendell T_T. How come I get fcking Seymour for Commerce&&&&&&&Geography. That's me unlucky. When some people get Rendell for Commerce&&Geography. T_T. Life so sad. But happy :) OMG again. Yes, A smiled. Guess what? I like bargains. I impusle buy. Oh god, Commerce again? What the fck is wrong with me? How come everything I say can somehow relate back to Commerce. Life is fcking unfair. Stupid commerce. Lol. Spelling Mistakes. Funny topic actually. Quite random. Yes, well I just got to remember today. Gavin read:No Gavin, you do not spell Korea Koria. You spell it with a E not a I. Okay, Just wanted to get that clear ;; like I can talk. I spell fair fiar. == That's just typo though. >_>Yes, for those of you that can be fcked, go check out Calvin's personal message on MSN. Yep, he's scared. But it is his own fault for using that random wand to turn me into an automatic slapping machine. &&did a ><><'' to emphasis something about something for something. >_> Oh well, I'll say it emphasizes being scared of me. Yeshhh.. I'm wondering, back to spelling. Noo idea why. Anyway, if everyday is spelt as one word, how come every night isn't spelt everynight. as one word? It is strange, the world of spelling ;; kind of boring too. And to Japanese spelling. How come they can't say Germany, and they say like dokoi or some shxt like that. Like I can be bothered to go get my sheet. But...yeah...Alright, I'm going back to Commerce. Sigh. Daran wrote above blog ;; btw.

Hellos. Today was boring. Nothing happened. First period was Maths. Did a few of last years and random tests. Tomorrow is Maths test. I'm going to fail really badly. Second period was Commerce. Did questions. Third period was Science. We were in the computer room. Such a trek up to computer room. Fourth period was English. We had a subsitute again. We played this game I forget its name ;; It was about dictionaries. Fifth period was Japanese. LOL. "nfii" Geez Gavin. "nifii" Geez Jenny. Lol, today, Jackie cut her hair. And it was REALLY cute. Well, she didn't. But the way everyone pictured it was cute. I don't feel like saying anything today. Unless something funny actually happens.Omg. I swear little kid hates me now. Roger and Liam are cool. Lol. Roger's just taller than me, goddammit. Liam is small and cute. LOL. Little kid hates me T_T. Want to cry. I went to do paper runs a while ago, and some randoms were shaking their heads at me...It was strange. O_O Nothing much to say.Gosh, I am extremely bored. Nothing to do.Follow me.;]Labels: life, rant, school.

Hellos. Today was..well I can't think of a word to describe it actually. So anyways. I just need to make something clear ;; and I've always forgotten to put it into all my other blogs, so I'm going to say it now."I hate the librarian"
He's so fcking annoying. I swear he like, hates us asians.
When we laugh a bit, he goes ;; ah, you're so loud, only 4 to a desk..dadidada ;; and to other people hes like ;; oh, you're playing chess? oh thats nice ;; when they laugh their fcking heads off. Seriously.
Well today, it was Shave for a Cure. Suzie shaved her hair. You brave girl. And ;; omg ;; Steve waxed his legs. God, that was foul. And he did actually start bleeding. That was disgusting. I don't even want to talk about it. Apparently we raised about $1700 or something. Fcking hell, I was looking through the newspaper. And some random people from either Stella Maris or Mackellar got put in the fcking newspaper. What about us?! How come?! No! And, I was looking at the advertisement for On Show at the back of the newspaper, and there's a list of the schools in Northern Beaches, and we're last?! WTF? That was full rant&&rage.
Then, Period 2, we had Graphics. And I finally finished drawing my room. Now I just got to take a photo of it. That's troublesome. Ah, sigh, I was going to pinkify Jonno's room again, but he caught me before I got to get started. That was a shame. T_T. Man, that would've been funny. I was actually going to start doing the next task thingo, but I didn't actually listen to what we were supposed to do. So...
Period 3, Geography. Boring. Nothing to talk about. Oh oh oh. Seymour had a haircut and it looks like Ms. Edmonds. For those who know who she is. Well, that was the only thing I got to say. And she marked our books. She's like a Paterson clone. But she's more lenient with equipment. And she can stray off topic really easily. That's a plus. ;]
Sport, wet weather. Well, we brought down all the gear, and set up all the gear, and started playing mini tennis for five minutes. Then we packed it all up again, and took it all back to the sports cupboard. Then, 030, to watch movie. LikeMike. You know, I realised, when they're cheering for the little kid, they're just repeating the same tune, same words over and over again. The tune is kind of annoying actually. They're just like. Something about,
"We're playing basketball, We like that basket ball, We're playing basketball, We like that basket ball, We're playing basketball, We like that basket ball, We're playing basketball, We like that basket ball, We're playing basketball, We like that basket ball, We're playing basketball, We like that basket ball, We're playing basketball, We like that basket ball, etc. "
Anyways. Then we went to watch Unborn. It's a mirror. lols.
Jackie and me were really late. Made everyone miss the first bit. Oh well. >_>. Gosh. Well, actually I can't be bothered to talk about it. Apparently, Jackie killed Gavin during that. According to Gavin.
After movie, Jackie went zoom, and went off. Gavin&&Daran missed the bus, so did I. So we went up and down the lift. And there was a mirror. Then I went home.
I enrolled in art class. So probably on Wednesdays now, from 5:25-7:15 I'll be at art class. So..yeh.
Mirrors

Today, I finally decided to start a blog. Where I can rant and go on about random things that just go on in life ;; or dreams. Or, this is just something to fill up spare time. Well, you can't really call it spare time, because it's actually time you're supposed to be doing homework, but just can't be bothered. I probably won't expect this to go for very long before it dies, like any other of my blogs would die. I remember creating a blog and never actually doing anything to it. Well, I did do something ... I wrote hi, then I left it. That's kind of how all of my blogs or these kind of things end up ;; dead. I did kind of start thinking about doing video blogs, but then I was like, nah, too bothersome. I'm kind of someone who can't even be bothered to walk a metre or so to get a piece of paper from the printer ;; so all working out is done on paint. Unless I am feeling slightly unlazy [is this even a word?] and do decide to get a piece of paper. Or just get someone else to get it, even though they're about ten metres further away from it than I am. Yeah.(:Labels: life, rant
